I am so tired of the ol band wagon method. The newest craze within the natural hair community is the "hair steamer". Now do not get me wrong I have had this particular method used on my hair in the past especially when I used to go to the Dominican salons. But, to tell you the truth besides the extremely hot steam that burns your forehead, I do not see what difference it has over the good ol "heating cap". Since the natural community is grabbing hold of this concept now, the pricing is ridiculous. I have seen as high as $300 for a free standing hair steamer. REALLY PEOPLE. A heating cap can be purchased for less then $30 and get the same point across.
I truly believe some old methods are worth being unchanged. We as a people are constantly making other people rich by simply jumping on band wagons... black women in particular because we are always up on some latest trend.
SOOOOOO... in saying all of this people what I want to get across to you is simply this... don't think the latest is the greatest.. don't think constant spending will keep you in the know. Sometime what you have is worth more then what you just got ;-)
