Relationships

Ok I guess this is the best topic to start with right? I am for all intents and purposes a woman 1st and everything else 2nd, 3rd etc. This is a topic we can all voice an opinion on. (please remember what they say about opinions... :~}). I want to get your input on topics like: Marriage, "boyfriend & girlfriend", cheating, communication, feelings, parenting, friendships and family. I think most people know I'm very vocal about most topics, but I want you guys to share your thoughts and hopefully we can grow as a better Generation for the Generations to follow.

I will start of with the 1st Marriage and please give your input... I truly believe marriage is a wonderful thing if it is done correctly. The unity of man and woman is the most sacred thing we can do. BUT, the dilemma is when we are going into this thing blind sided. We tend to watch tv and think that is how it is. A lot of us come from broken homes and for those who didn’t it was most likely dysfunctional ( I didn’t say all). With that being said, how can ‘we’ see ourselves as good spouses? We imitate what we saw our parents, grandparents, sibling and friends do. But, the sad part is a lot of those relationships are nothing we should want to try to emulate. But, what can we do to make our marriage or future marriages better?

For our Generation I want something new, I want us to talk to one another and be that advice member to those newlyweds, couples that have been married for awhile or the folks that are simply thinking about it. We need to rely on one another and not try to portray characters on the boob tube in any form or fashion. Reality TV is nowhere near the reality we all live in. Well this being said~~ can you give some input here... there are many that need this dialogue so please do share.
