2 years later

Sitting here reflecting while approaching my 2 year anniversary of the BC. WoW how time flies!! I can remember as if it was yesterday saying to myself, what did I get myself into? I didn't know what to do with this hair and the naturals I saw on tv surely weren't maching my hair texture. For the life of me I couldn't process the concept of a wash and go and to say the temperament was high is to say the very least.

I am so glad I came upon YT and ladies like {Misskrissnew, Blackonyxx77 who no longer make videos~~~ I will touch bases on my thoughts of women who no longer make videos on a later date~~},  Africanexport and Kimmytube; then there were hair blogs such as Nappurality.com  and Motowngirl.com. All of these medias help me get to the stage I am today. Trial and error is the answer. You have to be determined in this thing if not you WILL FAIL! Like anything in life worth having isn't easy to obtain.

I hope to gain unbelievable lengths like so many of the women I have seen over the years. I myself however, is not a PS kind of gal. I will rock 1 or 2 French braids or corn rolls, but more then that is a no no. I guess due to this state of mind it will take me longer then others to achieve my ultimate goal at this time which is BSL. I can say I am just shy of APL and very proud of it!!!!.

To all my newly natural sisters. Don't fall for the ookie dookie, it is 25% trial and error 25% genes 25% nutrient and 25% product. Don't be fooled by all the YT gurus that try to sell you every product in the world~ there is no miracle growth oil, shampoo or condition. Find out what works for your hair and stick with it, until it gets to another platgue.

Wishing everyone the best in this hair journey and any journey you are out to conquer in your life time.

~ Peace and Love Nubia

  1. I'll be soon coming up on my 1 year anniversary of BC and boy are you right about trial and error. I watched so much Youtube before and after my BC getting tips and tricks because I had no idea how to handle natural hair. This has been a wonderful journey I must say though.
